The sun’s rays pass through the crystal-clear waters of Sardinia, bringing to light a treasure known and used in kitchens all over the world: a soft, light puff of salt, an important ingredient in a healthy, tasty diet. These high quality sea salt crystals are harvested by hand in the uncontaminated lagoons of Sant’Antioco and dried using artisanal processes without the addition of additives, preserving the natural moisture of the product and all the trace elements allied to our well-being such as zinc, magnesium, iodine and potassium. The whole sea salts produced in southern Sardinia have been recognised as Traditional Italian Food Products by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry because they are obtained using artisanal methods that respect the environment and human health.
